Youth Programming

The Youth Programming Committee plans and implements activities, programs, events, and projects for youth in the neighborhood. The activities we plan usually have an art or activism focus and try to get youth working with positive adult role models.

The Committee Chair is Beth Barbush – ebarbush@gmail.com

Current projects of the Youth Programming Committee:

Past Projects of the Youth Programming Committee:

  • Remington Youth Band: The Remington Band is a music program that met once a week during 2008. It allowed youth to learn how to play instruments such as drums, guitar, and keyboards. The group practiced songs together and worked toward playing in neighborhood performances. The instruments for the band were purchased through a grant from Youth As Resources, a youth-led non-profit in Baltimore. We are looking for instructors who would like to donate their time to help the Youth Band start up again.
  • Maps on Purpose – An Art on Purpose Project
