The Wyman Park Restaurant, located on the corner of Howard and 25th Streets, is a cozy neighborhood diner that specializes in breakfast and lunch. Although you can go there for dinner, you’ll need to eat that dinner by 3:30 pm, as the hours are 6:00 am – 3:30 pm, Mondays – Saturdays. But no matter what time you go there, bring cash; the Wyman Park Restaurant doesn’t accept credit cards for bills under $10. This minor inconvenience is SO worth it though, when you realize how good and cheap the food is. The wait staff is also perhaps the best and friendliest in the city. The restaurant won “Best Lunch Counter” in the Citypaper’s Best of Baltimore in 2004, and is described online as “strictly a meat and potatoes, breakfast and lunch for the working masses type of diner” that is “worth shaping a schedule around.”
